State of Oregon’s Department of Corrections is hiring an Institution Registered Nurse for a limited duration in Salem, OR, with a remote work option. You will review medical records, evaluate care, ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, and prepare summaries for litigation purposes, coordinating with justice partners as needed.

The role requires current Oregon RN license, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting; prior court testimony is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Experience providing professional nursing assessments for court or litigation settings is preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret medical records and clinical data to assess care adequacy and timeliness.
• Strong understanding of clinical guidelines and standards and ability to document findings clearly.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records for compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Create comprehensive summaries of medical records for litigation or regulatory purposes.
• Coordinate with ODOC partners and other institutions to align on patient care and treatment plans.
• Explain disease processes and medical orders to non-clinical stakeholders; testify on behalf of ODOC when needed.
