Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking an experienced Institution Registered Nurse for a limited-duration role based in Salem, OR, with remote work options. The RN will review medical records, assess care adequacy, and coordinate services with justice partners.

The position emphasizes independent work, critical thinking, and adherence to clinical guidelines. The role supports litigation-related health reviews, requires detailed medical summaries, and may involve testifying when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Oregon Registered Nurse license at time of appointment.
• Preference for an unencumbered license.
• Experience providing direct court testimony is a plus and willingness to testify.

Responsabilités

• Review medical records for adequacy, timeliness, and justification of care.
• Coordinate ongoing health services with external institutions as needed.
• Provide testimony on behalf of ODOC when required.
• Maintain clear, secure documentation and communicate medical rationale clearly to non-medical audiences.
