Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Data Abstractor to join our Quality Outcomes team in a fully remote, full-time role serving a multi-state health system.

You will abstract complex clinical records, populate registries, and identify trends to support performance improvement and regulatory compliance, while collaborating with physicians and operational leaders to drive data-driven care improvements across PeaceHealth.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active RN license in the state of practice is required.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience in acute care hospital, care management, or hospital case management.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and audit complex clinical data from patient records per guidelines.
• Manage large volumes of records and meet reporting deadlines.
• Enter and maintain data in clinical registries and third-party systems.
• Support quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory initiatives.
• Identify patterns and opportunities for improvement through data analysis.
• Develop reports highlighting variances from standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and leaders to interpret findings and drive improvements.
• Participate in validation audits to ensure data integrity and abstraction accuracy.
• Present findings to interdisciplinary teams and leadership.
• Stay current on quality measurement requirements and best practices.
