Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Clinical Data Abstractor for a hybrid remote role focused on retrospective clinical data abstraction from medical records, following CMS/JCAHO guidelines. The position emphasizes accuracy, data quality, and ongoing professional development.

Ideal candidates will have RN or RHIT/RHIA qualifications, strong medical terminology knowledge, and experience with TJC/CMS core measures. A commitment to staying current with abstraction guidelines through training is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical terminology required.
• TJC/CMS Core Measure clinical data abstraction/entry or Performance Improvement preferred.
• RN strongly preferred; or graduate from a health management program preferred; or pursuing a degree in a related health/medical field.

Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical data from medical records retrospectively following CMS/JCAHO guidelines.
• Utilize PHC4 Cardiac Surgery guidelines for cardiac data abstraction when required.
• Attend system meetings and educational seminars to stay current with abstraction guidelines.
