Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced RN to join our Behavioral Health Bed Management team as a Patient Flow Coordinator. This remote role requires NC, SC, GA, or VA residency and offers a part-time, weekend schedule with dayshift hours to support timely patient placement.

You will collaborate with Nursing, Patient Access, and hospital departments to optimize bed utilization, assess patient needs, and promote safe, coordinated transitions of care across the facility.

Qualifications

• RN with inpatient behavioral health experience required.
• Must reside in NC, SC, GA, or VA and be able to work remote.
• Part-time schedule including weekends; Saturday/Sunday.
• Strong communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely patient placement with nursing, Patient Access, and hospital departments.
• Evaluate patient needs to determine appropriate placement based on clinical condition and services.
• Identify barriers to placement and coordinate solutions to minimize delays.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between Behavioral Health, Nursing, and Patient Access.
• Support safe patient placement by balancing clinical needs, unit capabilities, staffing, and resources.
• Help ensure patients move efficiently through the hospital to the appropriate level of care.
