Job summary

EMC Insurance is seeking a Risk Control professional able to work remotely from Iowa. The role conducts on-site risk control surveys, assesses exposure potential, and develops written recommendations to reduce insured losses.

You will consult with policyholders, tailor services to meet client needs, and collaborate across underwriting, sales, and claims to improve renewal decisions. The position demands strong knowledge of safety standards, ergonomic assessments, and hazard control, with travel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
Three years of risk control or safety experience; CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs on-site risk control surveys of policyholders' operations and prepares risk control reports.
Provides consultation on operations, claims trends, and insured coverages; recommends improvements.
Collaborates with Risk Control team and subject matter experts on technical questions as needed.
Provides updates to Underwriting, Sales, and Claims to aid renewal decisions.
