Job summary

ORC is seeking a Utilities Agent to acquire right‑of‑way rights for distribution and transmission projects. The role supports project teams, prepares real estate documents, and researches ownership and boundaries. Travel up to 50% locally and across Virginia is required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Notary OR ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Smartphone required to access ORC systems.

Responsibilities

• Acquire right-of-way rights for distribution and electrical transmission line projects per guidelines.
• Support the Project Manager and project team members.
• Prepare real estate documents and conduct property research for ownership and boundary information.
• Communicate with landowners and representatives regarding right-of-way acquisition.
• Perform general administrative tasks to keep projects moving.
