Job summary

O.R. Colan Associates, LLC seeks a Utilities Right of Way Agent to join our Right of Way Professional team. This role is remote within Virginia with a 50-mile radius of Lynchburg and involves travel about 50% to project sites around Virginia.

You will acquire ROW rights for distribution and electrical projects, prepare documents, conduct asset research, and support project managers while maintaining deadlines and professional communication.

Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency (Excel/Word/Outlook) required.
• Ability to perform property research for ownership/boundary information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel locally and within Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Acquire right-of-way rights for distribution and electrical transmission projects.
• Support the Project Manager and project team members.
• Prepare real estate documents and correspond with owners.
• Conduct property research for ownership and boundary information.
• Communicate with property owners and representatives regarding ROW acquisition.
• Perform general administrative tasks to keep projects moving.
