Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, through its Department of Transportation (PennDOT), seeks a Right of Way Administrator 2 to guide statewide real estate operations, including acquisition, relocation, and property management. You will provide oversight, guidance, and quality assurance across district teams to support major transportation projects and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• One year as a Right-of-Way Administrator 1 or as Real Estate Appraiser Supervisor/3 or six years of real estate experience with two years in a supervisory capacity and an associate degree, or five years with a Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination.
• Meeting PA residency requirements and the ability to perform essential job functions.
• Eligibility for special damages, replacement housing, and related claims.

Responsibilities

• Statewide oversight of acquisition, relocation, property management and disposition activities.
• Provide technical guidance on condemnation, relocation assistance, damage payments, and land disposition.
• Evaluate district submissions and offer recommendations for final approval.
• Determine statewide eligibility for special damages and related costs.
• Supervise and coordinate technical staff in Acquisition, Relocation and Property Management.
• Assist chiefs in training, inter-agency coordination, and statewide policy guidance.
