Acton ADU is seeking a Residential Drafter and Submittal Manager who can drive the drafting lifecycle from site research to permit issuance, coordinating with consultants and city staff across California.

The role emphasizes exceptional interpersonal communication to keep reviews moving and requires deep Revit expertise, high-volume submittals, and a proactive drafting project management mindset.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on mastery of Revit.
• Extensive experience with high-volume building department submittals throughout California.
• Strong knowledge of Type Five construction and California residential code (CRC).
• Regular, confident use of BlueBeam.
• Familiarity with BuilderTrend is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, code-compliant Revit drawings for Type Five, on-site ADU construction under California residential code.
• Manage high-volume interactions with building departments and city staff across multiple California jurisdictions.
• Serve as the drafting project manager on each job, tracking timelines, approvals, and fee triggers.
