Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Revenue Integrity RN Charge/Coding Auditor for a fully remote, full-time position. The role conducts clinical charge audits, reviews denials, and provides expert guidance on hospital charging, documentation, and coding to support Intermountain hospitals and clinics.

Requires BSN, RN licensure, and coding certification (AAPC/AHIMA). Experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with BSN preferred/required.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse.
• Current coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Use evidence-based criteria to determine viability for audits.
• Assess credibility of clinical appeals by payer policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders during the audit process.
• Identify root causes for denials and communicate with care teams.
• Serve as subject matter expert for hospital charging, documentation, and medical necessity decisions.
• Provide guidance through policy development, training, and education to reduce denials.
