Job summary

Ascension is seeking a data analyst for Revenue Cycle Administration to analyze data, develop revenue-focused reports, and support decision-making. The role is remote with a day shift, full-time, and located in the United States.

The candidate will improve data integrity, standardize processes, and contribute to payor issue resolution. The position requires related education or experience, proficiency in Excel and EHR systems, and prior healthcare revenue cycle exposure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• HFMA or NAHAM certified or will become certified within 6 months of start date.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and EHR systems (EPIC or Cerner).

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from multiple sources to develop revenue-focused statistical reports.
• Define the scope and format of management reports, ensuring revenue data integrity through reconciliation.
• Educate staff on interpreting reporting tools to drive data-driven decisions and revenue optimization.
• Identify data trends and propose improvements for revenue cycle processes.
• Conduct account reviews and participate in payor escalation meetings to resolve reimbursement issues.
