Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in hospital or physician insurance related activities such as Authorization, Billing, Follow-Up, Call-Center, or Collections.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of health insurance plans, policies and procedures.
• Research and follow-up on outstanding claims with documentation in the system.
• Follow procedures to resolve accounts and seek payment.
• Contact insurance companies for information to resolve invoices.
• Identify issues/trends and advise management on resolutions.
• Request and substantiate medical information for procedures.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality goals.
