Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring for a fully remote claims follow-up and billing specialist. The role focuses on timely follow-up of claims, resolving accounts, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to Medicaid/Medicare regulations.

Candidates must be capable of working remotely, with video interviews via Microsoft Teams and possible onsite meetings as needed. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in hospital/physician insurance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in hospital or physician insurance related activities (Authorization, Billing, Follow-Up, Call-Center, or Collections).
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding claims and document actions in the system.
• Resolve accounts with payors, including write-offs, reversals, adjustments or other methods; escalate as needed.
• Maintain billing guidelines, fee schedules, and contract rates; update documentation as required.
• Research medical records to gather information for medical justification and necessary corrections on invoices.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality goals.
