Job summary

Planet is seeking a high-impact Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager to lead modernization, automation, and scalability of our global revenue engine. You will bridge accounting standards with data analytics and drive Q2C transformation across the lifecycle.

In this role, you’ll guide system configurations, audit disclosures, and SOX compliance as we scale. Remote with some office-based work, you’ll collaborate across Finance, IT, and Product to optimize revenue rules for new monetization

Qualifications

• 6+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 and high-growth companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 for complex SaaS/recurring revenue models.
• Experience with SOX 404 controls and external audits of automated IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure automated revenue subledgers and ASC 606 disclosures.
• Modernize end-to-end Q2C workflows, reducing manual journal entries and spreadsheet risks.
• Coordinate data alignment across ERP, subledgers, and data warehouses.
• Develop automated footnote disclosures and dashboards for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales Ops, and Pricing on revenue rules for new products.
• Serve as liaison to internal/external auditors on revenue systems and processes.
• Design and validate SOX controls impacted by system upgrades and new products.
• Maintain SOPs and train finance teams on updated system workflows.
