Job summary

New Relic is seeking a Revenue Accountant for a fully remote role. You will support month-end close, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication. Familiarity with NetSuite, Zuora, or Salesforce CPQ is a plus. This position offers flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong foundational understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 principles.
• Self-motivation with the ability to manage task timelines in a remote environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Close: assist with the revenue-related month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Contract Analysis: review customer contracts and non-standard terms for proper revenue recognition.
• Financial Schedules: prepare and reconcile revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and contract assets/liabilities.
• Process Support: contribute to Order-to-Cash improvements and assist with SOX audit tasks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: assist on ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects with reliable analysis.
