Manulife’s Disability and Group Life team seeks a Functional Rehabilitation Specialist to design and guide goal-oriented rehab plans for plan members, collaborating with sponsors, providers, and internal teams. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and independent work within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include developing return-to-work strategies, vendor/budget management, and daily administrative tasks.

Formación

• Bilingualism English and French is an asset; in Québec proficiency may be required.
• Post-secondary diploma, CEGEP (DEC/DEP) or bachelor’s in a healthcare program; preference for health sciences & rehab experience.
• Sound knowledge of Rehabilitation Industry Standards, disability insurance and medical terminology.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to make meaningful decisions under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound calls.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Valid driver’s license with potential travel.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, monitor, and implement innovative, goal-oriented return-to-work rehabilitation strategies for plan members.
• Foster relationships through regular communication with plan sponsors, members, providers and internal partners to drive successful return-to-work outcomes.
• Vendor and budget management to ensure effective treatments for plan members.
• Handle daily administrative tasks including timely email and phone communication.
• Demonstrate resilience, emotional intelligence, and compassionate communication with plan members.
