Job summary

The Finway Group, a Strongpoint partner, seeks a Retirement Onboarding Manager to lead a team of Onboarding Specialists and drive seamless onboarding for new retirement plan clients. You will manage end-to-end onboarding, ensure accuracy, and coach staff to scale operations.

You will oversee document mapping, SPDs, and coordination with recordkeepers while guiding process improvements and staying current on ERISA/IRS changes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years with retirement plan documents or TPAs
• 2+ years supervising, managing, or leading a team
• Expert ERISA/IRS regs for qualified plans
• Experience reviewing/drafting retirement plan documents
• Deep understanding of 401(k) provisions and design
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong coaching and ownership mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Retirement Onboarding Specialists
• Balance onboarding caseloads based on plan complexity and deadlines
• Escalation point for complex provisions, client concerns
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning
• Oversee onboarding for all new retirement plan clients and milestones
• Review plan documents; SPDs for accuracy and compliance
• Own onboarding systems, reporting, and pipeline visibility
• Lead onboarding calls for complex/high-priority clients
• Guide team on plan design improvements for unsupported provisions
• Build and maintain SOPs, checklists, and quality control
• Primary contact for recordkeepers and internal teams to resolve issues
• Identify and implement process/workflow improvements
• Stay current on ERISA/IRS changes and translate into guidance
