Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to cover big box retailers from the Long Island, NY market. This remote position requires living in the LI area and traveling to customer locations and Oldcastle businesses to support in-store execution.

The role involves scheduling visits, monitoring inventory, participating in training and events, and building displays while ensuring safety and display standards are met.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to customer locations and local Oldcastle businesses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work outside in all weather conditions.
• Daily travel to company locations and customer locations; some overnight travel.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages a daily/weekly customer visit schedule to meet needs and maintain costs.
• Monitors inventory levels in stores using cycle counts and reports; coordinates with service teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Participates in regional training classes and events.
• Leads or participates in customer events and demonstrations.
• Builds and installs product displays and performs store resets.
• Ensures product is safely stacked and secured.
• Suggests improvements to maximize shelf space.
