Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to cover big box retailers in the greater Katy, TX area. The role is remote with residence in Katy, TX, and involves planning store visits, managing displays, and coordinating with store and district managers to support product placement and promotions.

The position requires daily travel to customer locations, a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and comfort working outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Daily travel to and from company locations and/or customer locations; some overnight travel.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, perform repetitive motions and work from a ladder.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and achieves a consistent daily and weekly customer schedule, i.e. store visits, to meet customer needs and maintain cost effectiveness.
• Monitors inventory levels in stores using cycle counts and reports; work with customer service and replenishment teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Participates in regional company training classes and events.
• Leads or participates in customer events and demonstrations to drive product knowledge and sales.
• Builds and installs product displays and performs store resets.
• Ensures products are safely displayed and secured; maximizes shelf space.
