Job summary

Acosta is seeking an Associate Customer Manager to drive sales growth and manage retailer relationships remotely within a defined territory, primarily supporting a single client. You will engage retailers via phone, video, and email, execute sales strategies, and meet performance objectives.

The role focuses on sales development, promotional execution, and new item placement, partnering with AWG and UNFI to support small and midsized retailers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Sales, account management, customer service, or telesales experience required.
• Experience with AWG, natural products, distributor sales, or retail account management preferred.
• Strong phone-based selling, relationship-building, and virtual communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to analyze sales data and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Dedicated home office workspace with reliable internet access.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned AWG accounts through outbound sales calls, video meetings, and email communication.
• Sell promotional programs, display opportunities, and distribution initiatives to independent retailers supplied by AWG and UNFI.
• Drive incremental sales through TMPs, display programs, and distributor promotions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailer buyers and store managers via virtual communication.
• Secure new item authorizations, distribution gains, and expanded product placement opportunities.
• Identify distribution voids, sales gaps, and growth opportunities through sales analysis and conversations.
• Review distributor reports and sales data to prioritize opportunities and develop growth strategies.
• Communicate customer feedback, competitive activity, and market trends to management and client partners.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and sales activities using company systems.
• Collaborate with retailer contacts, internal teams, and client partners to execute sales objectives.
• Establish performance goals and review progress with the Virtual Customer Manager.
