Job summary

Signature Companies seeks experienced Residential Insurance Inspectors (1099) to visit homeowners for interior and high-value dwelling inspections. Independent contractors are paid by completed reports, with jobs assigned via a cloud-based system and payments issued monthly.

Inspectors travel to properties, capture photos, measurements, and notes, then complete and submit reports online for underwriting review.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting experience preferred.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes preferred.
• Loss control experience preferred.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Computer competencies in Windows and internet environment required.
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• CPCU or IIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit properties to perform interior insurance inspections and high-value dwelling inspections.
• Take photos and measurements, note issues for underwriter’s attention.
• Complete and submit reports online after each visit.
• Work from home and in office as needed; complete reports within 21 days.
• Identify underwriting concerns and make loss-prevention recommendations.
