Job summary

Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW), a nonpartisan policy institute within the McCourt School, seeks an Assistant/Associate Research Professor. The role designs and executes applied research on education, labor markets, and economic mobility, leading projects from conceptualization to dissemination.

The position requires advanced quantitative training, independent question development, rigorous econometric analyses, and clear communication to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, public policy, education policy or related quantitative social science field (or Master’s with substantial applied research).
• Demonstrated expertise in workforce or education policy.
• Experience leading and managing complex research projects from start to finish.
• Expert quantitative research and econometric skills.
• Programming in Python, R, Stata, or SAS.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute applied research projects on education, labor markets, and economic mobility.
• Lead cross-disciplinary project teams from conceptualization to dissemination.
• Communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.

Education

PhD in economics, public policy, sociology, education policy, or related quantitative social science field

Master’s degree with substantial applied research experience
