Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a part-time Research Associate for the Education and Employment Research Center (EERC) in the School of Management and Labor Relations. The selected candidate will support qualitative and quantitative research on education and workforce development, working with project managers and senior researchers.

The role includes scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, reviewing transcripts, developing codebooks, and performing NVivo analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, public policy, sociology, business or related field with at least five years of social science research experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews.
• Conduct interviews under the guidance of senior researchers.
• Review interview transcriptions and ensure data quality.
• Support the development of codebooks.
• Conduct qualitative analysis using NVivo under senior guidance.
• Provide research datasets to teams and support analyses with Excel, NVivo, Qualtrics, and STATA.
• Revise state policy scan briefs related to noncredit workforce education.
• Assist with drafting blogs, briefs, reports and presentations.
• Present findings to internal project teams.
• Attend internal research meetings and contribute to project development.
