Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation is seeking an Analyst LG1 to manage research conflict of interest (COI) assessments, reviews, monitoring, and reporting. You will support the ORIE by handling COI reviews for proposals and protocols, drafting management plans, and coordinating with research teams.

The role involves maintaining COI databases, generating metrics, and assisting with committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; familiarity with academic research environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience maintaining databases and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete COI reviews and document analysis in review notes.
• Interact with offices and researchers; record responses.
• Monitor AIRS updates and management plan adherence.
• Draft and finalize COI management plans.
• Participate in COI Committee meetings; transcribe minutes.
• Maintain up-to-date COI dispositions and subrecipient documents.
• Support RCR and misconduct-related activities as needed.
