Job summary

RTI International in the United States is seeking a Bachelor’s-level Research Analyst to coordinate and support evidence synthesis projects, including systematic and scoping reviews, health technology assessments, and related tasks. The role can be based at RTI’s HQ in Research Triangle Park, NC, or remotely within the United States, with remote work subject to approval and availability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., health economics, quantitative research, information/library science, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or related health sciences).
  • Experience conducting or supporting literature reviews, including literature searches and summarizing scientific information.
  • Experience organizing, tracking, or managing research data, publications, references, or other project information.
  • Experience with data analysis, including quantitative methods.
  • Analytical reasoning and problem-solving at bachelor's level, with ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience applying AI-assisted tools for literature searching, screening, data extraction, and methodological rigor.
  • Familiarity with health research, policy, clinical research, or health services research.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with review management software (ENDNOTE, Zotero, Covidence, DistillerSR, EPPI-Reviewer).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to literature searches and manage references with citation software.
  • Coordinate and conduct research portfolio analysis and manage large databases of research.
  • Develop code books to categorize research information.
  • Explore automation processes for metadata extraction from publications and policy documents.
  • Coordinate project activities and assist in setup and monitoring of new RTI projects.
  • Perform quality control to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support development of research products (reports, manuscripts, presentations) with clients and RTI teams.
  • Prepare tables, figures, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings.
  • Contribute to protocols, analytic plans, and methodological documentation.
  • Participate in project status updates and progress reporting.
