Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson, a Kirby Company, is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician II to support customers from a remote Texas Panhandle base. The role involves diagnosing faults and performing complex repairs on portable diesel air compressors, generators, forklifts, and related rental gear on- and off-site.

Responsibilities include parts identification, shop/truck stock maintenance, completing work orders and time sheets, and adhering to LOTO and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or GED and two to four years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Be reliable, on time, dedicated, and honest to serve customers and maintain fleet readiness/appearance.
• Maintain neat appearance of service truck/equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair portable diesel air compressors, generators, forklifts, and related rental equipment.
• Identify and order parts; maintain shop/truck stock.
• Perform complex/major repairs and replace parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and setup per guidelines.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
• Adhere to LOTO protocol.
• Plan yard/field schedules and work methods.
• Assist lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
