Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician II to support maintenance and repairs of portable diesel air compressors, generators, and forklifts. The position is remote in the Texas Panhandle, with work performed at customer sites or the shop to ensure fleet readiness.

You will diagnose faults, order parts, complete work orders, and uphold safety and quality standards while assisting other Technicians as needed. Valid CDL/driver licenses and DOT/LOTO compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose faults across diesel equipment.
• Strong focus on reliability, quality workmanship and customer service.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and brands.
• Must adhere to safety protocols and DOT/LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reliably perform repairs on portable diesel air compressors, generators, forklifts, and related rental equipment.
• Identify and order parts, maintain shop/truck stock, and complete work orders accurately.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore operational readiness at shop or customer sites.
• Plan yard/field work and assist other Technicians as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
