Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician II to service portable diesel air compressors, generators, and forklifts at the shop or at customer sites in Jefferson, LA. You will diagnose faults, perform major repairs, replace components, and order parts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

A High School Diploma/GED and 2–4 years in related tech work are required, along with a valid driver's license and applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair portable diesel air compressors, generators and forklifts.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain/maintain Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform complex repairs on portable diesel equipment.
• Maintain shop and field service readiness; complete work orders and time sheets.
• Order parts and maintain inventory; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout and safety procedures; plan field schedules.
• Assist other technicians and maintain clean, safe work environment.
