Stewart & Stevenson in Houston, TX is seeking a Generator/Rental Field Service Technician III to maintain and repair portable diesel air compressors, generators, forklifts, and related rental equipment at customer sites or shop.

You will diagnose faults, perform complex repairs, order parts, and ensure safety and quality standards. This role requires reliability, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3–7 years related experience.
• Dependable and trustworthy with good decision-making.
• Ability to organize time and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Willing to learn new equipment and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot and repair portable diesel air compressors, generators, forklifts, and related rental equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform complex repairs in shop or on customer site.
• Identify required parts and maintain shop/truck stock.
• Complete work orders and timesheets accurately and timely.
• Follow LOTO, safety rules, and quality standards.
• Plan yard/field schedule and assist junior technicians when needed.
