Ryan Specialty Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Binding Authority Renewal Underwriter to join our Commercial Binding Authority team. You will underwrite a profitable renewal portfolio, analyze submissions, and collaborate with agents, brokers, and carrier partners to support retention and growth.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, market knowledge of the Southeast region, and adherence to binding authority guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
Experience with Binding Authority, Commercial Underwriting, Wholesale/MGA environments is valued.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Commercial Binding Authority renewal business with focus on profitability and retention.
Analyze submissions, loss history, exposures and account performance to evaluate risk.
Review pricing and coverage adequacy in line with binding authority guidelines.
Coordinate quoting, binding, endorsements, and renewals with tight documentation.
Maintain strong agency and broker relationships across the Southeast region.
Provide underwriting guidance, pricing rationale and renewal strategy to trading partners.
