Counterpart seeks a Renewal Risk Engineer for Management Liability to underwrite renewals and manage broker relationships nationwide. You will work with risk engineers, product teams, and brokers to set pricing, coverage, and terms while ensuring compliant documentation and efficient renewal lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of underwriting experience in Management Liability and renewals.
• Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships.
• Expertise in policy forms, rating procedures, and coverage structures.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to present underwriting decisions to internal/external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with modern underwriting tools and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional designations (e.g., RPLU, CPCU) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal business across ML product lines per guidelines and targets.
• Evaluate risk exposures, loss history, and data for pricing and terms.
• Provide quick, competitive quotes aligned with strategy.
• Support broker relationships with underwriting guidance and communication.
• Represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events.
• Collaborate with Risk Engineers and product teams to refine models and forms.
• Identify market feedback and suggest underwriting enhancements.
• Bind renewal accounts and manage the renewal lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate and compliant underwriting documentation.
