Job summary

kWh Analytics is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support the Property Insurance team in risk assessment, submission triage, clearance, and policy lifecycle tasks. The role includes collaboration with marketing, underwriting, retention, and service standards to support a high-quality book of business.

The position supports remote work now with a future move to a hybrid model, and opportunities to work from home or in one of our US offices several days per week.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in property insurance (1–3 years) or underwriting support role; Nat Cat experience a plus.
• Strong critical thinking; synthesize large, conflicting data and develop a solid thesis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating applications for renewable energy property insurance.
• Supporting Underwriters with pricing, approvals, declinations, and policy administration.
• Managing new business, renewals, and endorsements.
• Cross-functional collaboration with business development, data science, and senior management teams.
• Improving processes and driving efficiency.
• Communicating updates to Brokers and industry professionals.
• Recording policy risk characteristics and managing portfolios of projects.
• Gathering data and preparing documents to support the business.
