Job summary

Key Capture Energy is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in Development to advance solar, storage, and other renewable projects across Albany, NYC and remote locations in the US. Travel between 20-40% to meet landowners, permitting officials, and local authorities is required.

The role is full-time and exempt, reporting to the Director of Development. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in renewable development and strong MS Office/financial modeling skills; MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 1–3 years of proven development experience in the renewable sector, preferably within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have financial model experience.
• Motivated to work in a small team within a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Ability to travel and possess a valid license to drive an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Project development: leads assigned projects across land/title, permitting, interconnection, and budgeting.
• Assist in preparing permit applications and maintaining compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, finance, procurement, construction, and energy marketing teams to define risks and updates.
• Track project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and financial analysis; present scopes and budgets.
• Support Commercial Offtake tracking and bidding activities.
• All other duties as required.
