Job summary

Principal Asset Management seeks a Relationship Manager to develop deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators in the South Central Region (TX, LA, OK, AR). You’ll facilitate plan design, retirement readiness, and solutions to drive retention and growth.

The role requires 4+ years in retirement, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and licensing (FINRA 6/7, 63, Life & Health) within 5 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
4+ years retirement industry experience.
Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc.
Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution).
Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
Travel required (25 - 30%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel, as well.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
Plan level health reviews.
Problem solving complex issues.
Develop deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators in the 10M - 200M market space in the South Central Region (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas).
Serve as strategic partner to clients and advisors to meet retention and growth goals.
