Principal Financial Group in the Northeast region seeks a Relationship Manager to develop deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators across CT, NY, PA, NJ, and MA. You will act as a strategic partner to deliver solutions that drive retention, growth, and retirement readiness.

The role requires collaboration on plan design, investments, and services, with travel 25-30% and potential for day or overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience.
• 4+ years retirement industry experience.
• Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc.
• Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution)
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal, analytical, and written communication
• Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
• Travel required (25-30%), mostly day travel with some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
• Plan level health reviews.
• Problem solving complex issues.
