Job summary

Principal Financial Group is seeking a Relationship Manager to build deep partnerships with advisors, plan sponsors and third-party administrators in the South Central region (TX, LA, OK, AR). You will help design plans, assess retirement readiness, and address complex issues while traveling 25-30% and occasionally working from home.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience, with 4+ years in retirement services and licensing expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years retirement industry experience
• Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc
• Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution)
• Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
• Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
• Travel required (25 - 30%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel, as well.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
• Plan level health reviews.
