Job summary

The PromptCare Companies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Reimbursement Specialist to manage patient billing and collections in a remote setting. You will handle insurance data collection, verification, and authorization according to company policies.

This role supports infusion and homecare services and requires collaboration with Intake and Billing teams. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in electronic claims submission and medical collections, with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in electronic claims submission and medical collections.
• Knowledge of insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience with billing/collections in DME, home infusion or enteral.
• Accounts receivable and accounting experience preferred.
• CPR+ and Caretend software knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collections of third-party payor accounts for assigned payers.
• Ensure follow-up on all revenue cycle aspects related to reimbursement, including denials management and research.
• Maintain/update documentation to assist Intake Team with insurance policies and limitations.
• Identify adjustments, payment trends and denials; escalate as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in patient care and office environment.
• Communicate changes regularly with internal teams as needed.
• Collaborate with Intake & Reauthorization Specialist to ensure timely collections.
• Assist PBM and Billing Specialist with issues, backlogs, and month-end processes.
• Field inquiries from patients regarding benefits, claims and balances.
• Proactively resolve any billing issues that arise.
• Perform CPR+/Caretend transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
