Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced reimbursement professional to independently prepare or review third‑party financial accounting, contractual allowances, cost reports, and related surveys for multiple facilities. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, Government Relations, and Leadership.

Qualified candidates will have Medicare/Medicaid knowledge, data analytics experience, and the ability to navigate

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a role requiring data analysis.
• Demonstrates computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and Internet.
• Demonstrated experience with third-party financial accounting, contractual allowances, cost reports and surveys

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine tasks requiring in-depth analysis and identifies alternatives.
• Performs or reviews reimbursement processes and coordinates with HIM, PAS and finance staff.
• Prepares monthly Medicare and Medicaid settlement and policy reserve calculations.
• Prepares or reviews cost reports, reviews audit adjustments, and files appeals to maximize reimbursement.
• Mentors others and coordinates training within reimbursement functions.
• Manages scope, deadlines, and deliverables; develops system procedures and quality standards.
• Investigates changes in reimbursement and communicates impacts to leadership.
