Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• 7+ years practicing law with at least 3 years in consumer finance regulatory work.
• In-house fintech/bank/mortgage experience is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with secured lending, marketing, and servicing laws.
• Experience with compliance monitoring tools and regulatory databases.
• Proficiency with project tools such as Asana.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, UDAAP, TRID, and other federal/state consumer lending regulations.
• Monitor state-specific lending laws, including usury, licensing, and foreclosure processes.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Assist in compliance reviews of loan origination, underwriting, and servicing processes.
• Perform periodic audits of required disclosures and loan documents.
• Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and customer complaints.
• Research regulatory updates impacting consumer lending.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to embed compliance in loan servicing and creation.
• Review marketing disclosures for Regulation Z and UDAAP compliance.
• Assist in third-party vendor risk assessments.
