You will apply your JD and 7+ years of regulatory experience to interpret laws, review disclosures, and advise across marketing, licensing, and vendor risk.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• 7+ years practicing law with at least 3 recent years in consumer finance regulatory work.
• In-house fintech/bank or mortgage company experience is a significant plus.
• Knowledge of secured lending, marketing, and servicing laws.
• Experience with compliance monitoring tools and regulatory databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state consumer lending regulations (TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, UDAAP, TRID).
• Monitor state lending laws and licensing requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Condu ct compliance reviews of loan origination, underwriting, and servicing processes.
• Perform periodic audits of disclosures and loan documents.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and customer complaints.
• Research regulatory updates and reflect changes in policies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to embed compliance in loan servicing and creation.
