Job summary

Generational Care is seeking a Registered Dietitian to support the nutritional health of older adults served by our programs. The role involves planning, reviewing, and monitoring menus to meet state and federal standards, plus providing nutrition education and guidance to clients.

In collaboration with the Meals on Wheels Director, you will adjust menus, educate staff, and maintain required documentation. Remote work is possible with optional on-site duties at the Richland kitchen; occasional

Qualifications

• Must be a registered RD/RDN in Washington State with current credential.
• Valid WA Food Worker Card or ability to obtain within 14 days of employment.
• Valid WA driver's license and ability to travel using insured vehicle.
• Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Food service knowledge or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop, review, and approve regular, modified, low-sodium, culturally appropriate, and special-diet menus.
• Ensure menus meet nutritional standards, nutrient requirements, and program requirements.
• Develop monthly nutrition education materials and sessions.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to address dietary needs of clients.
• Provide nutrition consultations and referrals to community resources.
• Maintain nutrition-related documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with health agencies as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
