Job summary

Generational Care, through Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels, seeks a Registered Dietitian to plan, review, and monitor menus that meet federal and Washington Senior Nutrition Program standards. The RD will provide education, guidance, and diet modifications to support nutritional health for older adults.

The role involves collaboration with program leadership, menu development, and coordinated nutrition education, with remote/hybrid options and occasional site work in Richland, WA.

Qualifications

• Must be an RD/RDN in Washington state.
• Current RD/RDN credential and WA certification required.
• Valid WA Food Worker Card or ability to obtain within 14 days of employment.
• Valid WA driver’s license and ability to travel using insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Meals on Wheels Director to develop, review, and approve regular and special-diet menus.
• Ensure menus meet nutritional standards and program requirements.
• Develop and approve monthly nutrition education materials and sessions.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to address dietary needs of clients.
• Provide individual nutrition consultation and referrals as needed.
• Maintain nutrition records and reports.
