Job summary

HealthCorps is seeking a Director of Programs to lead the Midwest/Appalachia portfolio, launching and managing federally funded initiatives across multiple states. You will oversee regional staff, build strategic partnerships with districts and funders, and ensure compliance with grant requirements while driving program growth.

The role requires strong leadership, grant management experience, and a track record of delivering high-quality education and health programs for youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in youth development, education, nonprofit leadership, or related field.
• Grant management experience with federal or other large public grant funded programs.
• 5+ years of experience leading programs and managing teams across multiple sites or regions.
• Significant experience building partnerships with school districts, community organizations, and public-sector partners.
• Experience budgeting regional operating budgets and grant-funded program budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Regional Program Managers and Coordinators across multiple states.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with districts, funders, and community partners; oversee grant reporting.
• Collaborate with national and regional teams to standardize program delivery and share best practices.
• Ensure high-quality, compliant program delivery and measurable outcomes across sites.
• Represent HealthCorps at district meetings, community events, and planning sessions.
