Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director for Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension to lead scientific exchange and data support for SPs, SLs and investigators. The role focuses on building peer-level relationships with external leaders, supporting ISP and investigator-driven studies, and guiding Medical Affairs strategy in a dynamic US Southwest region.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD/APP required with pulmonary hypertension expertise.
• Three+ years in biotech/pharma or healthcare setting.
• Three+ years clinical/research in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary areas or five years MSL in the therapeutic area.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills.
• Leadership and knowledge of guidelines and FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national, regional scientific leaders and investigators.
• Provide scientific information and support for company data and trials.
• Represent R&D at meetings and congresses; debriefs and post-congress reporting.
• Facilitate investigator-initiated studies and ISP coordination as requested.
