Job summary

Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director in cardiopulmonary and pulmonary hypertension to drive scientific exchange and data support for external investigators. This role focuses on partnerships with SLs and investigators across the Southwest US region, with 50% travel.

The position requires an MD/PhD/PharmD or APP with deep therapeutic knowledge, plus 3–5 years in biotech/pharma or MSL experience. Remote-friendly, regular travel and collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD, PharmD or APP in Pulmonary Hypertension or related field.
• Three years in biotech/pharma or healthcare or five years as Medical Science Liaison in relevant TA.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage national and regional scientific leaders to address unmet medical needs.
• Facilitate scientific exchange and provide data support for investigator studies as prioritized by leadership.
• Represent R&D at scientific meetings and assist in ISP and phase II–IV programs.
