Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director for Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension.

This role requires a credentialed medical/science professional to engage in scientific exchange with external leaders and support data generation for sponsor trials and ISP. You will cultivate peer-level relationships with national and regional leaders, provide non-product scientific insights, and represent R&D at meetings while ensuring adherence to GCP and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Three years in biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.
• Three years clinical and/or research in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary areas or five years as MSL.
• Principled interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
• Deep therapeutic competency in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary/translational science.
• Knowledge of guidelines, FDA regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage collaborative relationships with national, regional and clinical SLs and investigators.
• Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain a Research & Development contact within the Company.
• Support data generation activities for ISP and sponsored trials as prioritized by RD leadership.
• Provide in-depth scientific support to Health Systems Teams.
• Represent the R&D Division at scientific meetings and post-congress debriefs.
• Ensure compliance with GCP guidelines and SOPs; uphold ethics and policies.
