Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Regional Medical Lead (Director) to join the regional leadership team. This role develops the regional strategic plan, builds high-level stakeholder and C-suite relationships, and aligns medical activities with patient-centric strategies.

The RML will oversee MSLs, identify gaps in care, and ensure resources meet educational and regional needs while collaborating with Home Office and other internal partners.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Biological Sciences (Pharm.D., M.D., D.O. or Ph.D.) strongly preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience providing strategic leadership across therapeutic and cross-functional teams.
• Developing, communicating, and implementing strategy across complex healthcare environments with influence without authority.
• Demonstrated ability to understand health systems and patient care delivery to achieve better outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to region strategic business plan and execution of field activities.
• Establish senior stakeholder and C-suite relationships across the region to understand needs and insights.
• Develop understanding of regional ecosystems, influencers, decision makers, and payers.
• Provide coaching and oversight to MSLs and ensure alignment to business priorities.
• Track metrics across activities and adapt medical plans using agile approaches.
