Job summary

CertainTeed, part of Saint-Gobain, is hiring a Regional Load Planner to manage outbound shipments and optimize freight movements within the assigned region. You will work with carriers, plant personnel, and customer service to improve network efficiency while maintaining high service levels.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years in logistics, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel, SAP or Manhattan Associates TLM. Some remote work and travel up to 20% are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related field.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, or admin operations if no degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage outbound shipments for an assigned region using transportation management systems and carriers.
• Optimize network performance through move planning and efficient equipment use.
• Maintain and update carrier capacity information to support planning.
• Select modes and carriers based on service and cost objectives.
• Analyze freight lanes and patterns to identify efficiency and cost savings.
• Communicate with carriers on dispatch, routing, and performance.
• Monitor carrier service levels and support improvement initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve transportation service issues and delays.
• Coordinate reconsignments, returns, and adjustments as needed.
• Partner with manufacturing, marketing, engineering and logistics teams to meet changing needs.
• Process freight claims and coordinate with third parties for resolution.
• Review transportation invoices and maintain records.
