Job summary

Univar Solutions in Norcross, GA is seeking a Transportation Planning Supervisor to lead regional inbound/outbound logistics planning and optimize freight orders across the supply chain.

You will supervise District Transportation Planners, drive load optimization, dispatch planning, and coordinate with purchasing and sales to meet customer requirements. A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred, and SAPTM knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years transportation experience with Univar Solutions or equivalent business experience.
• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Purchasing or Logistics processes and functions.
• Outstanding organizational skills; strong technical abilities.
• In-depth SAPTM system knowledge; strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated team performer with high decision-making ability.
• Maintain customer data in TMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the planning of transportation movements in the district branches including shuttles and outbound orders.
• Monitors and directs coverage of all open Freight Orders to ensure optimization and capacity.
• Manages and optimizes District Transportation Planner workflow regionally.
• Executes the role of DTP in coverage situations.
• Addresses alternatives for inbound and third-party expediting requirements for Purchasing and Sales.
• Directs movement of inbound, outbound, third party, CIBT & IBT products to meet customer requirements.
• Schedules inbound & outbound carriers; approves SPOT capacity.
• Works with local branches daily for capacity planning and special requirements.
